Maaya Revathi tennis upset: The 29th Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship got off to an exciting start, with 15-year-old Maaya Revathi from Tamil Nadu stealing the show with her incredible performance. In the men’s singles division, Manish Sureshkumar, ranked second from Tamil Nadu, made a powerful impression. Thrilling Matches in the Women’s Singles Category

There was fierce competition in the women’s singles division as well. The powerful Pooja Inghale of Maharashtra defeated Nirali Padaniya of Telangana 6-3, 6-1. In a different encounter, Gujarat’s Vidhi Jani presented a formidable challenge to Maharashtra’s seventh-seeded Sejal Bhutada. After a suspenseful three sets, Bhutada eventually prevailed 6-0, 3-6, 7-5.

Junior Categories and Scholarships

The competition includes Under-16 and Under-14 categories for boys and girls in addition to the senior categories. These categories are especially significant because they provide up-and-coming talent a chance to showcase their abilities on a national scale. From October 5 to October 12, junior category matches will be played.

The tennis scholarships given to the champions and runners-up in the Under-16 and Under-14 singles competitions are among the tournament’s most alluring features for young athletes. A scholarship worth ₹25,000 will be awarded to each winner, providing young athletes with a big incentive to progress in their careers.
