Up to 184 delegations from throughout the world will participate in a well-attended march on the famous Champs-Elysées to kick off the program. Together with 6,000 athletes and authorities, spectators will be able to take in this unique and joyous occasion, which is free to everybody. After the formal procession and creative sequences for ticket holders, the event will take place on Place de la Concorde. There’s little doubt that the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games will be a memorable occasion for everyone in attendance!

Nearly every venue of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games is in competition, including the blue waters of Paris La Defense Arena, the red clay courts of Roland-Garros Stadium, and the purple athletics track of the Stade de France. Over 4,400 Para athletes are competing across 11 days of competition.

Up to 12,860 people may be seen supporting the eight teams competing for the podium during blind football at the magnificent Eiffel Tower Stadium. Some of the biggest stars from the Paralympic Games are back to defend their championships in para athletics and para swimming, while fresh stars are aiming for a major breakthrough.

1 September: Liberation of the Pont de la Concorde and metro exits 1 and 8.
September 9: Reopening of traffic to permit North-South crossing.
